This is a follow up resource from the KCSiE training pack I released last year. Small updates have been suggested in this guidance. This slide deck was created for KS1 or lower KS2 assemblies to describe inclusion and the importance of being inclusive and having belonging. The metaphor of belonging is brought to life using a bespoke story and images of sea life to engage the children. Slides come with notes and a link for a sound scape to use as an opportunity for calling, thinking or meditation - however you see it working best with your pupils. Slides are editable and can be used as the basis for your own version should you wish.

Kindness is something that many children need to learn about and have a framework for. Use these assembly slides to create a themed week in school for kindness - great for SLT and PSHE leads! The assembly provides a day by day activity to focus on kindness across the school with small gestures bringing kindness to the forefront of the children’s minds.

Zones of Regulation are becoming more frequently used across all schools. Use this template as a way of recording a discussion, developing a concept with the pupils, addressing a misconception or as a prompt for further debate. Children or teachers can use this template to create oral outcomes in the classroom or to keep records of discussions.
